Planted in 2006, Luminous Hills Vineyard sits in the southwestern portion of the Yamhill-Carlton District within the larger Willamette Valley appellation. While the appellation as a whole is largely known for its sedimentary soils, Luminous Hills Vineyard lies within a transition zone that has areas of both sedimentary and volcanic soils.
Elevation 600 - 800 feet. Southeast, South, and Southwest exposures. 11.2 acres of Pinot noir (Pommard, 777, 667, 115). Participant in LIVE Program, which provides education and certification for vineyards using international standards of sustainable viticulture.
