Named for the rock carved by glaciers during the last Ice Age, Gran Moraine is a majestic hillside vineyard reminiscent of the grand crus of Burgundy’s Cote d’Or. Positioned like an amphitheater within the Willamette Valley’s Yamhill-Carlton District, each of her five parcels presents a unique aspect for winemakers to explore. Several renowned producers, among them Bergstrom, Carlton Cellars, Chehalem, Elk Cove, Ponzi, Rex Hill, Soter Vineyards, and Torii Mor, have discovered the distinctive terroirs offered by Gran Moraine. You’re certain to hear more about this exciting vineyard in the years to come!
